Book Your Indian Railways Ticket Through SMS/USSD! [IRCTC Booking Without Internet]















indian-railways-reservation-sms-ussd-irctc Indian Railways (IRCTC) has started a new system to help you book your Indian Railways ticket easily without any internet connection or non-functional IRCTC website. Now you can easily book your railway tickets through SMS or USSD using your mobile phone, anywhere and anytime.


This process is very easy, without any cumbersome steps or knowledge
of internet. The only requirement is the registration on the IRCTC website. Registered users can then book tickets by sending a text-based SMS or calling on a menu-based USSD @ 139 or 5676714.


To book tickets, call or SMS on the above numbers and enter the date
of journey, class, train number and passenger details in the prescribed
format. You will receive your booking confirmation by SMS.

This is a good initiate by Indian Railways to avoid overloading on the IRCTC website and to book tickets easily through SMS. This will decrease the passengers dependence on the ticket booking agents.
